The Simon Youth Foundation is awarding a scholarship of up to $1,500 to eligible graduating seniors to apply to their tuition at an accredited college, university, vocational, or technical school. Students have until February 19, 2020 to apply. Scholarship recipients will be be notified in May 2020.
Simon Youth Foundation (SYF) is a national nonprofit committed to helping students reach graduation day. SYF works closely with Memphis’ own Wolfchase Galleria and other premium outlets.
To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, the student must be a high school senior attending school in a Simon community. The student must be a legal U.S. resident and plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school in fall 2020. Also, the student must demonstrate academic promise and financial need.
Applicants will be evaluated based on academic promise, financial need, written response, work experience, and community/extracurricular involvement.

Scholarship recipients are eligible for a one-time scholarship of up to $1,500, with one scholarship awarded at each Simon center. In addition, the top-ranking applicants selected in Simon communities will be eligible for the Award of Excellence, which is a renewable scholarship awarded to one student in eligible Simon regions.
The scholarship is part of a larger initiative called Simon Supports Education, which includes several opportunities designed to engage mall patrons. Consumers can support the foundation in a variety of ways while shopping at a Simon mall. Shoppers can purchase a SYF Visa Simon gift card. One dollar from the sale of each gift card directly funds the foundation’s scholarship and graduation programs. Also, shoppers can opt to donate a Simon gift card balance to SYF.
Wolfchase Galleria will raise funds through the Just Ask program, which informs guests with more information about the National Scholarship Program. Additionally, stop by the mall management office or visit the Wishing Wells located at Carousel Court and the Play Area, where donations can be made which will directly benefit the Program.
SYF’s 2020 scholarship recipients will be selected by International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS), A third-party planner.
