Dog Cupcake Decorating for Kids with Food Network Cake Artist Avalon Yarnes

Kids will learn real cake decorating and fondant sculpting techniques in this fun, hands-on cupcake class with award-winning cake artist Avalon Yarnes at Shelby Farms Park.

During this two-hour beginner-friendly class, students will create three dog-themed cupcake toppers from scratch! A Bulldog, Hound Dog, and Mixed Breed, while learning shaping, detailing, and texturing techniques used in professional cake art.

Avalon Yarnes has been featured on Food Network and recognized as one of the Top 10 Cake Artists in North America. Each child will work on their own cupcakes and receive step-by-step instruction throughout the class.

All tools and materials are included, and students will leave with their finished cupcake creations and new decorating skills. No experience needed. Drop-off friendly, parents are not required to stay.
