Field School for Homeschool - Exploring Evergreens

Local science and history comes to life in our specialized outdoor education programs through hands-on interactions, field journaling, and expertise of our Education Director.

Bring your own field journal and be ready for in-depth discoveries.

Recommended grades 3-7. Siblings always welcome. Stay to picnic and play after the class.

Exploring Evergreens – The forest is cool and the ferns are fresh. Pine trees, moss, and spleenwort stand out in the silvery landscape. The evergreens thrive in the wintery temperate forest. A short hike emphasizes our observation skills, while we learn about the variety of plants that keep their chlorophyll kicking. Journals will be filled with greenery and we’ll finish with a winter decoration craft.

$15/participant per class.

One adult free per family, $5/additional guests.
