Bridges USA 477 N Front Street, Memphis, Tennessee 38105
The First 8 Years Speaker Series launched in 2021, to help increase awareness the importance of early learning and provide valuable tools and insights that educators and advocates can use to improve outcomes for children. This series brings local, regional, and national experts together to discuss important themes, research, and cutting-edge early childhood topics, and provide unique context on their place in the Memphis community.
On August 17, join First 8 Memphis for our Speaker Series with keynote speaker, Dr. Monica McLemore, professor and the interim director for the Center for Anti-Racism in Nursing at the University of Washington. Dr. McLemore and a panel of local experts will speak on how Early Childhood Education Starts Before Birth: Reproductive Health and Birthing Experiences Matter.
