July 16th Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Mission at Pink Palace Museum

Pink Palace Discovery Theater is transformed into a “mission control” demo space for the Apollo 11 Moon Mission 50th anniversary celebration. Enjoy the new interactive museum exhibit, Sun, Earth, Universe and take part in family activities.
Festivities include real-time projection of the Apollo 11 mission and opportunities for children to engineer their own stomp rocket, learn how craters are made, and take a walk through a scale model of the solar system.
Bill Weppner, Apollo 11 Mission Flight Controller, will be signing Apollo 11 movie posters and giving a presentation in the Pink Palace Mansion Theater from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Apollo 11: First Steps Edition will be showing at the CTI Giant Screen Theater and Back to The Moon: For Good will be showing at the AutoZone Dome Planetarium.
