From the Old World: Music for Violin and Piano

Music by Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Sarasate, Danielpour, Bloch and others, performed by violinist Benedict Goodfriend and pianist Cara Modisett. Goodfriend is violinist with the Kandinsky Trio, ensemble in residence at Roanoke College in Virginia. With the trio or as a soloist, has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Croatia, Taiwan and China; he has been a guest on radio programs including WNYC’s "Around New York" and his performances have been aired on the “McNeil-Lehrer News Hour” and on National Public Radio’s “Performance Today.” Cara Modisett, a piano performance graduate of James Madison University, serves as minister of communication at Holy Communion.
