Porter-Leath Back-to-School Head Start Enrollment Block Party

This family-friendly event will give parents and caregivers the opportunity to enroll their children in Porter-Leath Head Start Preschool on the spot for locations with available space. Porter-Leath staff will be available to answer questions, help families complete applications and collect required enrollment documents.

The event will also include activities for children and families, including food, games, music, giveaways, and children’s activities. The first 50 families to arrive will receive a backpack and be entered into a special drawing.

Children must be 3 or 4 years old by August 15, 2026, to enroll in Head Start Preschool.

Families can begin the enrollment process by visiting porterleath.org/headstart. Head Start Preschool enrollment includes two steps: completing a child’s Head Start application and attending an in-person enrollment event with necessary documents.
