Join us for the first concert of this fall’s River Series! The show features Joe Restivo and the Tennessee Screamers, and is a great way to kick off the season.
Joe Restivo, guitarist for the soul group the Bo-Keys, released his debut solo record in July. His album crystalizes his interest in Memphis jazz music made at the intersection of jump blues, R&B and jazz.
The Tennessee Screamers are key players in the Memphis independent scene. Through this project, Jesse Davis (Yesse Yavis), Keith Cooper (Sheiks/Aquarian Blood) and Frank McLallen (Sheiks/Ex-Cult) dive into early acoustic country and western with soaring harmonies.
DJ performances begin at 3 p.m., followed by the Tennessee Screamers at 4, with Joe Restivo closing the night down at 5. A $5 donation is requested at the door with proceeds benefiting the Maria Montessori School. In the case of inclement weather, an alternate location will be announced.
