Support and Training for Exceptional Parents (STEP, Inc) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign offers this FREE training to educate and empower parents of children with disabilities about legislative advocacy. 

In addition to attending the training, parents are required to participate in a focus group, complete three surveys to document the effectiveness of training, and be videotaped (less than three minutes) to share concerns about special education legislation.

Training dates are May 19 or September 8. Registration: 8-8:30 a.m. Training: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
