The National African American Read-In is an initiative of the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the NCTE and is endorsed by the International Literacy Foundation. BCBA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to promote awareness of Black writers of children’s and young adult literature.
