MoSH (Memphis Museums of Science & History) is hosting its 53rd Pink Palace Crafts Fair, celebrating over 50 years of impacting the creative community — September 26-28, at Audubon Park in East Memphis.
Dubbed as one of the largest in the Mid-South, the Crafts Fair features highly skilled craftspeople from across the country for a weekend of art and entertainment.
Since its inception in 1973, the Pink Palace Crafts Fair has been a high point of the fall season in Memphis, with its first fair presenting around 30 craftsmen stationed on the lawn in front of the Pink Palace mansion — later growing into a major annual event hosted on the grounds of Audubon Park. Through an eclectic collection of fine craft and handicraft pieces, the exhibit showcases the craftsmanship on display, plus demonstrations of live crafting, music, and children’s activities.
Visitors can check out a variety of diverse pottery, jewelry, 2-D art, glass, wood, leather, sculpture, fiber, and more. Food and drink vendors, including craft beer and wine, will be on hand with popular treats and beverages. Children can engage in a petting zoo, ride the choo-choo train, or take a pony ride, among other festivities.
