Don’t have plans this weekend? Come on out to ArtWorks Foundation’s 2nd annual edition of Art in the Loop, the art festival in East Memphis.
The event features artists working with all types of mediums, such as wood, glass, and fiber. There will also be photography, jewelry, and more. While viewing the artwork, you could stop by some of the city’s best food trucks and enjoy the classical music performed by youth ensembles around the area.
The event takes place Friday, April 5th, through Sunday, April 7th, at Ridgeway Loop Road between Briarcrest Avenue & Ridge Bend Road. The hours for Friday are from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Children’s day is on the last day of the event, April 7th. Teacher, Teacher, the host of WKNO TV’s PBS Kids programming, will make an appearance from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Teacher, Teacher will offer kids the opportunity to show their creative side by making their own craft projects.
