The city of Bartlett is the latest community to open a new splash park for kids. The grand opening took place Saturday, June 27, with plenty of families on-hand to celebrate this new addition. The park, located at the Bartlett Recreation Center (7700 Flaherty Road) will be open seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9-7 p.m. Friday, 9-5 p.m. Saturday, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
FREE to Bartlett residents who are BRC members. $5/Bartlett residents w/o BRC membership. $12/non-residents.

Mud Island River Park • On Mud Island, kids can wade in the Riverwalk, an exact scale model of the Lower Mississippi, and get wet in the fountain at Lake Ponchartrain.

Beale Street Landing • At the base of Beale Street and Riverside Dr. downtown Memphis. Playground overlooks the Mississippi River, with a spray section, slide and climbing structures.

Peabody Park • At the corner of Cooper and Central, this Midtown park is ideal for young children, with fountains, geysers, and misters.

Kroc Center • This community center has it all, a lazy river, a giant water slide, a splash pad outdoors and two pools inside that offer both play and lap swimming opportunities.

Children’s Museum of Memphis • This garden-themed splash park has fountains, sprayers and a water organ, plus shady spots for picnicking.
$15/non-members, also gives access to outdoor playground. FREE to members.
Memphis Zoo • Wading is allowed in the stream at the entrance to the park, and in the geyser at Teton Trek.
$15/adult, $10/2-11. FREE to members, parking is $5.
Collierville • Collierville Parks & Rec offer two outdoor spray parks:
Suggs Park, 163 East South Street. – Small park with sprays and fountains. FREE
W. C. Johnson Park, 419 Johnson Park Dr. – Large splash pad with water features, fountains and interactive sprays.
$10/nonresidents. Purchase passes at Collierville Community Center, 440 West Powell Road, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. FREE to Collierville residents.
