Bornblum Jewish Community School is hosting a family-friendly bike ride fundraiser benefiting Bornblum Jewish Community School, Stax Music Academy, and Refugee Empowerment Program. Bornblum, a K-8 school in East Memphis, strives to raise kids as socially responsible citizens and community leaders. “Giving charity and helping the community are major lessons we instill in our students at Bornblum,” said Bornblum’s Head of School, Daniel R. Weiss, Ed.D. in a press release.
This fundraising festival is scheduled to take place at 6641 Humphreys Boulevard from 8:30 a.m. to noon on October 23, 2022. The cycle enthusiasts can pick to ride a course from a Family Fun Ride, an 18-mile, or a 36-mile.
The festivities include bike courses, a tricycle course, bike limbo, craft stations, face painting, a bike rodeo, silent auction and so much more. The festival sure has something for everyone in the family. “The Ride for Education is not just for cyclists. We are inviting the entire Memphis community to have some fun while giving a helping hand to impactful education programs,” added Weiss in the press release. The festival attendees can also enjoy some great selection of songs performed by the students from Stax Academy.
Last year, Bornblum’s family friendly bike festival raised over $50,000 from festival participants as well as from sponsors. With this year’s festival already raising over $45,000 for Memphis educational programs, the 2nd Annual Ride for Education is gearing to exceed all goals and expectations.
