There's a new organization in town, and it's looking to make getting in shape fun for kids. Kidokinetics, a sports and fitness program for youth, is set to bring its services to to Memphis this March. The program provides camps, clinics, and small group exercises, and will look to partner with local organizations.
Founded in 1995 by Terri Braun, Kidokinetics aims to engage children with exciting sports and fitness classes. It continues to offer technique-oriented sports clinics and camps that combine exercises, drills, activities, and games in order to develop strong skills and mechanics.
“We’re so excited to launch our programs in the area because we know that it will provide a more expansive sports and fitness education to kids in the community who might not otherwise get the chance,” said Natalie Siedschlag, one of this location’s owners.
The Memphis branch of Kidokinetics will maintain a strong focus on catering to kids aged six months - 12 years that come from all backgrounds. Siedschlag, the parent of a daughter with special needs, has always wanted to run an inclusive, youth-oriented business that expands the level of fitness education available to kids.
Kidokinetics will open registration to its clinics, camps, and groups starting next month. For more information, visit the Kidokinetics website.
