WKNO wants local artists to help share a message of goodness, kindness, love, and hope in their upcoming art exhibition, A Memphis of Hope Art Show, throughout February 2026.
WKNO supports the contribution of local artists and wants them to consider making their voice heard in the next Memphis of Hope Art Show. Memphis is filled with passionate people that possess pride and resilience, and during Black History Month, WKNO is opening their Gallery Ten Ninety-one exhibit hall to the public for all artists to share and display interpretations of what is good about Memphis.
Artists of all ages (young and old) and diverse backgrounds are invited to display up to three pieces of art work to inspire hope, love, unity, and peace for the city — whether you have previously exhibited work in WKNO's Gallery Ten Ninety-one, or for the first time.
In honor of Black History Month, this art exhibition will be a powerful testimony of Memphis’ impactful love and unity that resides in its neighbors. Through the eyes of local artists, the exhibition will share positive messages of what is “right” about Memphis communities.
The hope is that this art will send an impactful message to others and an assurance that Memphis provides a lot of good things—hope in its people, celebration of unity, and camaraderie of kindness.
Art submissions may include paintings, photography, pottery, quilting, sculptures, jewelry, or metal ornaments. The entry deadline is January 16, 2026.
A few things for participating artists to know:
- Send a commitment email to fpeat@wkno.org — Subject heading: A Memphis of Hope Art Show 2026 — including your name, email address, phone number, art mediums to be submitted, number of pieces you plan to display, and school and/or class instructor, if applicable.
- Submit a clear photo and brief description of at least one piece of your artwork by January 16, for marketing of the exhibition — on-air broadcast and online promotions.
- Artwork should be delivered to WKNO Media Center (7151 Cherry Farms Rd, Cordova, TN) by 5 p.m., no later than January 28.
- The exhibition will showcase in Gallery Ten Ninety-one at WKNO, as well as displayed digitally via website and social media for online purchase.
- Artists may price work for sale or label “not for sale,” if displaying only.
