International Polar Bear Day Celebration @ Memphis Zoo

Anyone interested in wildlife conservation? Here is your opportunity to help save polar bears at this celebration at Memphis Zoo. Festivities taking place at the Northwest Passage include Pledge Tree, barrel painting, multiple chats with polar bear keepers, a special sea lion show, and more. Children take part in Pledge Tree by making a thumbprint pledge and promising to help save polar bears in the wild.

Families are welcome to tour the remodeled Pink Palace Mansion and watch the Clyde Parke Circus operate at 2 & 4 p.m. Individuals, classes, and community groups are invited to take part in a Bicentennial Locker Project representing their views about one of the exhibit’s five themes – Environment & Geography, Migration & Settlement, Commerce & Entrepreneurialism, Heritage & Identity, Arts & Entertainment. The winning submissions will be displayed as part of the exhibit.
