The Ruby Bridges READING FESTIVAL @ National Civil Rights Museum

Celebrate reading with civil rights activist Ruby Bridges-Hall at the Museum Courtyard. Festivities include a puppet show with Les Passees Kids on the Block, creating a community painting of Ruby Bridges with AlivePaint, meeting jam shakers from V-Style skate crew, singing and playing an instrument with singing librarian Sue Schnitzer, and enjoying storytelling and entertainment.
Southern College of Optometry conducts free eye screenings for children. Book giveaways for children pre-K through elementary. Educators with school ID also receive free books for their classroom.

F.I.R.E. Family Fun Day @ Metal Museum

Here is your opportunity to learn through hands-on activities and demos, a pop-up exhibition on the bluff, and molten iron pouring by foundry artists. This Family Fun Day taking place in conjunction with the 5th annual Foundry Invitational and River Exhibition (F.I.R.E) Conference features activities including I Spy, scavenger hunt, sand box play area, and more.

The Memphis Children's Theatre Festival @ The McCoy Theatre on Rhodes College Campus

Celebrate Memorial Day weekend taking part in a one-of-a-kind family arts experience hosted by Voices of the South at Rhodes College.
