Quintessential Summer Celebration, in lieu of fireworks this year, enjoy five days of independent celebration, together. Family fun on the riverfront kicks off with one-of-a-kind offerings in addition to a full suite of Downtown riverfront amenities. Tom Lee Park, Riverside Drive. Cooper-Young's Virtual July 4th Celebration, participate in a fun contest — dress up your kids and pets or decorate your homes and submit photos via Instagram with the hashtag #CYJULY4 or email to info@cooperyoung.org. Submit by midnight on July 4th to win prizes for each category. Online. Saturday, July 4.
4th of July 4 Miler, kick-off the holiday with a nice run for a good cause. Registration includes the choice of an Army green shirt or tank, koozie, and free swag shipping. A portion of all registrations will be donated to the American Red Cross. Online. Saturday, July 4.
Fleet Feet Firecracker 5K, run your 5K, your way July 3-5, upload your results to see where you rank in your age group, receive a race shirt shipped to you for free, just for registering. Wolf River Conservancy Summer Lecture Series
Kids in the Garden, a new program that gives kids ages 7-10 a chance to experience nature up close and learn the basics about horticulture and the flora around them. Tools included.
