Quintessential Summer Celebration, in lieu of fireworks this year, enjoy five days of independent celebration, together. Family fun on the riverfront kicks off with one-of-a-kind offerings in addition to a full suite of Downtown riverfront amenities. Tom Lee Park, Riverside Drive. Art and Exhibits

Carpenter Art Garden Virtual Art Show, each Monday and Wednesday, 30 new pieces of original artwork will be featured and available for purchase. Buy some beautiful art benefiting young Binghampton artists. Through July 31.

Register for Scarecrow Building Contest and Exhibit Competition, put your talent and imagination into creating an amazing scarecrow for Lichterman Nature Center's annual Scarecrow Building Contest and Exhibit. Open to senior centers, scouts, clubs, classrooms, artists, and others. Each entry receives a free group self-guided visit.  Lichterman Nature Center, 5992 Quince. Registration open through September 10.

Voting open for "It Takes A Village: A Crowd-Curated Exhibition,” vote for your favorite artworks to be showcased in a special exhibition from September 28, 2020 to March 13, 2021 at the Metal Museum. Voting open July 13-23.

Virtual Experiences for Youth: Let's Play, a series of virtual experiences that will allow students to learn a skill, either by creating something tangible using a list of supplies or by creating a performance piece using what they’ve created. Choose an experience in costuming, lighting, set painting, and more. New experiences added frequently through August 31.

Family Fun

Mid-South Fair Food Roundup, showcases delicious eats from food truck partners and will allow visitors to preview Mid-South Fair food favorites. The Landers Center, 4560 Venture, Southaven, MS. Friday-Sunday, July 3-5, noon-9 p.m.

Zoovie Night, enjoy the movie Land Before Time under the stars. Guests will have access to the Dinosaur exhibit. Limited seating, reservations required. Memphis Zoo, 2000 Prentiss Place. July 17, 6:30 p.m.
