Dixon at Home, JT Willbanks, art instructor at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, shows children how to create art projects without having to leave their house or backyard. New activities posted daily.
National Civil Rights Museum E-Learning Activities, resources for educators and students provide tools to engage. Reflect on big questions about the human experience and how history relates to contemporary events and everyday life. For grades 4-12.
The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art Online, lesson plans for teachers (and now parents) of children, grades K-12. Visit the Museum collections online. Connect your child to permanent and special collections with information about artworks, vocabulary, online resources, suggested curriculum standards, and pre- and post- museum visit activities.
Health/Exercise
Live Online Family Retreat: Healing in Community, join Memphis Center for Mindful Living as a family to learn mindfulness practices in a child- and teen-friendly way. The event is free but donations to local charities are encouraged to support those impacted by the pandemic. Saturday, May 2, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Your Inner Yogi: Friday Night Live on IG, join this live stream Instagram yoga class to re-balance, re-center, and relax. Fridays, 6:30 p.m. Continues through Sept. 4.
