WKNO wants artists to help share a message of hope, peace, and solidarity in their upcoming art exhibition titled A Memphis of Hope Art Show, opening February 1, 2025, in its Gallery Ten Ninety-One.
In honor of Black History Month, this art exhibition will be a powerful testimony of Memphis’ impactful love and unity that resides in its neighbors. Through the eyes of local artists, the exhibition will share positive messages of what is “right” about Memphis communities.
Submissions are now open and provide an opportunity for artists of diverse ages (young and old), cultures, and backgrounds to share their art as a message of hope, love, harmony, peace, unity, and solidarity for the city during the challenges of violence and crime. Artists may display up to three pieces of art considered to uplift the city through inspiration, aspiration, admiration, and hope.
The hope is that this art will send an impactful message to others and an assurance that Memphis provides a lot of good things—hope in its people, celebration of unity, and camaraderie of kindness.
Art submissions may include paintings, photography, pottery, quilting, sculptures, jewelry, woodworks, or metal ornaments. The entry deadline is January 29, 2025.
