If you’re a new mom, you’re more than aware of all the gadgets, bouncers, and play centers available for babies. What you might not know is that most of those products aren’t good for baby’s physical development. In her new book, Retro Baby, occupational therapist Anne Zachary, an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee, offers excellent ways you can cut back on all the gear and boost baby’s development with hands-on exercises. Her book is endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Zachary will be discussing and signing her book at Booksellers at Laurelwood on Saturday, March 1, at 2 p.m. The book costs $16.95.
