Ripley's Believe it or Not! @ Memphis Zoo

Earlier this year, François’ Langur, Tanah, broke records for being the oldest of her species to give birth to baby langur, Ripley. To honor this event, Ripley's Believe It or Not! is coming to Memphis. Ripleys Days include special keeper chats at Langur exhibit in China, Ripley's Believe It or Not! artifacts/statues placed all around the zoo, interactive shows at ODD-itorium on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Ripley's coloring sheets for kids.
Grand opening event on October 7 at 9 a.m. features special guest Ron Olsen with FM 100 presenting games, scavenger hunt, and giveaways.

Dia de los Muertos: Parade & Festival @ Memphis Brooks Museum of Art
Saturday, October 7, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
It’s that time of the year to honor ancestors and celebrate the Day of the Dead. Brooks Museum partners with Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group and Danza Azteca Quetzalcoatl de Memphis to present this Mexican holiday.
Parade begins in Overton Square in the Tower Courtyard at 10:30 a.m. Festivities include face painting, art-making, music, dance and theatrical performances and place an offering on communal altar. Dress up to compete in the Frida Kahlo costume contest!

45th Annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair @ Audubon Park

Ready for one of the largest juried arts and crafts fair in the Mid-South area? This family-friendly event features a children's area, live entertainment, demos by craftsmen, vendors, and food. 20th Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome @ Christian Brothers University

International Archaeology Day @ C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa
