Rock on with your honey. But schedule a sitter, since you won't want to miss Indie Memphis' popular rock concert movie series. They kick off their third year at the Levitt Shell this week with six-film series that spans bands from the 1960s to the 2000s.
You'll catch a memorable performance from Queen this Thursday night as the series unfolds with Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest (1986). And never-before-seen footage of Memphis' own Big Star will be featured August 24th. It promises to be a rockin' eve.
The show gets started at dusk (around 7:30 p.m.) and is free to the public.
