As parents, we need two things to make family life a bit more sane: A night out alone with our honey, and a reliable (maybe even awesome) babysitter. Once those are in place, you can plan to spend part of your weekend nights this summer going to the movies at the Orpheum's 2013 Summer Movie series.
This year's retrospective celebrates the Orpheum's 85th anniversary and gives a nod to its movie palace roots. The slate includes Thursday Night Chick Flicks, Friday Night Classics, and Family Matinees, all popular films from the past eight decades. So, line up a sitter or bring the crew, for night at the movies. The show starts at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. • $7/adults, $5/children 12 and under. $50/package of 10 tickets.
