2015 Mid-South Book Festival • Playhouse on the Square and Circuit Playhouse
Features author signings, an inaugural writers’ conference for students and adults, a literacy summit, and more. A street fair on Cooper Avenue includes children’s activities, author presentations, book giveaways, and food trucks.
Registration required for writers conference. Scholarships available. • Registration for Literacy Summit: $10.
Most events are FREE and open to the public.

Movie Mania • Carriage Crossing Mall in Collierville
Movies begin at dusk in Central Park on alternate Fridays and are rated PG.

2015 Orion Free Music Concert Series • Levitt Shell
Live music under the stars takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights through October 11 at the popular Levitt Shell. Bring a picnic, let the kids run wild, and enjoy everything from rock and pop to opera.

Pops in the Park Concert • Kiwanis Pavilion at Municipal Park in Germantown
Pack a picnic and enjoy a concert by Germantown Symphony Orchestra along with the choirs of Germantown and Houston High Schools. The program features music inspired by outer space. No rain date.

Total Lunar Eclipse • Learning Arbor at Shelby Farms Park
Families are invited to come view a full lunar eclipse at the park. Members of the Memphis Astronomical Society will be on-hand to handle telescopes and talk about the night sky.
