Have you been down to Tom Lee Park on the Mississippi River this fall? Then you might have noticed something unusual: people playing beach volleyball or swinging on monkey rings.
That’s because of the installation of RiverFit, a new pop-up park that includes six workout stations plus a soccer and beach volleyball court. The addition, which is officially called the Memphis Grizzlies Riverfront Fitness Trail and Pop-Up Park, was created via a partnership between the Memphis Grizzlies, Riverfront Development Corporation, and the City of Memphis.
There are six workout stations that will help you get fit: monkey rings, polyboxes, abs station, pull-up station, battler ropes, and an obstacle course; plus, two courts for volleyball and soccer.
Bring your kids down to play at the Beale Street Landing playground, then check out the family's fitness creds at RiverFit. It's never too late to get in shape.
