The 4th of July nears, and what better way to celebrate freedom than with a dazzling fireworks show and community fun? Here are some local/regional events (listed chronologically).
City of Horn Lake Grand Fireworks Display and Festival
Wed., July 3, 4-10 p.m.
Horn Lake’s celebration features food, live music (at 7 p.m.), and a fireworks show (9 p.m.), presented by Belhaven University.

Southaven July 4th Celebration
Wed., July 3, 4-10 p.m.
Annual Independence Day celebration takes place at Snowden Grove Park. Gates will close once the amphitheater is full. Fireworks at 9: 15 p.m.

Hernando Independence Day Fireworks
Wed., July 3, 5-10 p.m.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Event features fireworks, food, and live music by KC Johns. Location: Hernando Civic Center - 3800 Robertson Gin Road, Hernando, MS
City of Bartlett Fireworks Extravaganza
Wed., July 3, 6 p.m.
Celebration with the Star Spangled Extravaganza featuring fireworks that’ll light up the Bartlett sky, live entertainment by the Bartlett Area Chorus, concessions, a car show, and much more to live it up in the spirit of America.

Collierville Independence Day Celebration
Wed., July 3, 6-10 p.m.
The annual celebration is back with live entertainment, food, and fireworks all going down in Cox Park.

Independence Day Celebration
Wed., July 3, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Celebration of American independence, and the night concludes with the largest post-game fireworks show in AutoZone Park history.

High Point Terrace Neighborhood Independence Day Parade
Thu., July 4, 9 a.m.
This 70th annual event is one of the longest-running parades in Memphis. Fire trucks head the parade, which starts at Aurora Circle, heads west to Mimosa Avenue, and circles back.

Central Gardens July 4th Parade
Thu., July 4, 9 a.m.
Annual holiday parade with dogs in costumes and decked-out vehicles.
Location: Central Gardens - Along Carr Ave.
Cordova Independence Day Celebration and Parade
Thu., July 4, 9:30 a.m.
Celebration include its annual Patriotic Program followed by a parade. This year’s honoree is Don Lawson, an Army veteran who served in World War II and Korea. Wear patriotic attire for a chance to win a prize.

Cooper-Young 4th of July Family Parade
Thu., July 4, 10 a.m.
Annual Independence Day celebration with MEMPopS, face-painting, a balloon artist, and a contest for best-dressed or decorated person, wagon, or bike.

Flag City Freedom Celebration
Thu., July 4, 4 p.m.
Family-friendly celebration with good food, live music, fun activities, and incredible fireworks.
Location: USA Stadium Complex - 4351 Babe Howard Blvd. in Millington
20th Annual Celebrate Your Independence Fireworks & Festival
Thu., July 4, 4-11 p.m.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy Kids Zone, food vendors, and a huge fireworks display set to music. Entrances will be blocked once the park is filled to capacity.

Germantown Fireworks Extravaganza
Thu., July 4, 5-9:45 p.m.
Annual celebration with moon bounces, live music, food trucks, arts and crafts, and an incredible fireworks show.
Location: Germantown Parks and Recreation Office - 2276 West, Germantown
Independence Day Spectacular
Thu., July 4, 6-10 p.m.
Independence Day celebration with island vibes, free admission, multiple band performances, and a fireworks show.
Location: Mud Island River Park - 125 N. Front
Kayaks Under the Fireworks
Thu., July 4, 8-10 p.m.
Celebration with the best seat in the house to see the fireworks show at Mud Island. Single and double kayaks will be available for rent, and boat rentals will depart from the Cobblestone Landing (next to the River Garden downtown).
