With a grant from the Tennessee Community CARES Program, Volunteer Memphis launched the Free Masks Mid-South initiative in November. The funding was awarded to nonprofit organizations to help provide needed aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that wearing a mask is proven to slow the spread of COVID-19 and helps protect others in the community.
Volunteer Memphis has partnered with the Mid-South Food Bank to hand out free masks at various locations across the Mid-South. Masks are available for everyone in need, but those who would also like to pick up food should register beforehand at midsouthfoodbank.org.
Free masks will be offered at the following locations between December 5th and December 22nd.
