Kids interested in fashion and jewelry can try their hand at making wearable art this summer. An interactive studio at Dixon Gallery and Gardens, set up in conjunction with their latest exhibition, “Bijoux Parisiens: French Jewelry from the Petit Palais, Paris,” gives children ages 6 to 12 a fun creative experience.
In studio, they can explore the art and business of jewelry-making by doing rock identification, drawing techniques, marketing and promoting their new creations.
The station is an outgrowth of the works of jewelry, design, and fashion prints on display with the exhibition, a retrospective of style from the Napoleonic era through Art Deco in France. The exhibit will be on display through July 21st.
