For something different this holiday season, check out the Metal Museum’s latest exhibit, “Ha! Metalsmiths at Play.” This clever assemblage of puzzles, toys, and kenetic sculptures highlight the humorous side of metal work. The exhibit space will also be peppered with jokes and funny sayings, “because metalwork is typically exacting and serious in a way, so the artists have this other outlet where they can make fun things,” notes Joel Parsons, exhibition director and curator of the show.
The exhibit is organized around locomotion, which includes a sled, skates, and wheeled toys; visual puzzles, where kids can play “I Spy;” and hands-on pieces. • Museum hours: Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays, noon-5 p.m. $6/adults, $4/students.
