Children who lose a parent, sibling, or special person in their lives are faced with managing the complex emotions that surround death. But unlike adults, kids don’t always know how to cope with sadness or anger. And their grieving can be overlooked — by parents suffering loss of their own. That’s why there’s Camp Good Grief.
Designed expressly for children, Camp Good Grief at Baptist Trinity Hospice helps kids come to terms with their grief. Open to children ages 6 to 12 who have lost a loved one in the past two years, bereavement staff at the three-day camp help children explore their feelings through support groups and activities that involve art, music, journaling, and recreation.
